^^ Nice wintry scenes! Also Tom and Cambium. These are some steep cross-country ski routes. It was a good idea to divide the traffic.

You don't necessarily need to post pics of plants on here. They just have to be from this spring.

Impressive stuff. I don't think I've ever seen fully leafed trees this early.

Pics from earlier this month from a friend, just to show you the rather poor state of the snowpack this year in the Jura mountains. Pics are from locations around 1000 m asl.

They'll soon be able to play golf.

Yeah this was a ski route...

After thundersnow.

They were busy plowing the white stuff.

What a difference a week makes: with the March sun now approaching the equinox it felt much warmer yesterday than the 10°C high. Snow is in full melt mode at this point.

Still a fair amount of snow on residential streets.

Sidewalks are a mess: lots of freeze-thaw cycles this time of year.

A channel of meltwater has opened up on the North Saskatchewan River.

South-facing slopes of the river valley are almost completely snow-free thanks to the warm sun.

Some forest pictures I took this afternoon; looking pretty green now. 79F and DP of 63F.

Pecan trees still haven't leafed yet, but I think they are budding.

Beautiful photos. Some graphic proof that broadleaf forest>coniferous forest.

From the River on Friday. To the Beach yesterday. To the CT hills today...

Took a trip 1 hour north of me in CT..

March 19, 2017
Temp 30-34°F
Snow Depth 11-13"(279-330mm) with up to 2 foot+(610mm) drifts.

On my way..

Brought a ruler with me. Kept measuring as I hiked. 11.5" here.

Lots of energy wasted because I was sinking in. Slowed me down too. I lost the microspikes off my right shoe. Probably at this spot. lol

Wasn't a lot of foot traffic but was nice there was a trail to follow. I was alone the entire hike up and down. No wildlife either. Mid March they must be itching for ground food!

14 inches there. I know this spot. The trail sits lower than the ground to the right so that's not a drift.

Lots of snow around. Hope there isn't a big rain storm or rapid melting.

Love the Pines and Evergreens, they bring a shade of darkness to the area.

Almost 18 inches here.

I see it

12 inches in that spot. See the ruler?

Slippery inside the tower.

Facing Massachusetts. Beautiful day with a light breeze!

Facing Northwest into NY. Love the trail down below. Wish I had a drone!

On my way back found this. A 2 foot drift. Was I walking 2 feet above the ground?

Lastly, a little video...

guys, if it's all snowed and all of the trees are still dead that looks like a winter landscape rather than a spring one

some photos maded from the heavy storm we had in our province just a week ago... the snowed landscape is at about 1300m of altitude (4270ft) and the other one is ... where is the beach? the sea ate it lol!
