First time of the year that I see Gfs showing a blue area to Southern Brazil.
Blue = 0C or close to it.

Cool!! Never too early to start thinking of skiing again. Had snow at the local ski area here a couple of days ago, down to about 1000 metres.

Just started raining quite heavily here, with 70-100mm forecast over the next nine hours. Still quite warm with 22C and 81% RH at midnight.

Muggy in the upper North Island, with 22C dewpoints and heavy rain at midnight.

Models appointing an chilly saturday to northeastern Argentina,Uruguay and Southern Brazil, lots of sub 10C/50F :



So far but the European model on it last run is showing a polar blast by next month, -15C anomalies over Paraguay,I guess it would result in near freezing conditions there, it also show the polar air reaching the Amazon.
