Dublin is the obvious choice. Much too wet in Sochi with awful humid sweltering summers.

Summers are comfortable for about any outdoor activity you can think of in Dublin.

I guess you could kind of swim in a lake or something once or twice a year there without too much problems, but that's not many days.

This was only ever going to go one way. Dublin is decent by Irish standards, but that isn't saying much

Although I do think that Sochi is a massively overrated climate, very wet and humid. I think a lot of people are amazed by it because they didn't realize that somewhere in Russia could have that kind of climate.

This place could satisfy most subtropical lovers who fear extreme weather events.
Would subtropical lovers accept those winters?

Sochi by light years.... Don't see the point of this thread. There are no advantages that Dublin could have over Sochi IMO.

I mean compared to places in North Carolina who see hard frosts every year.

Sochi also has milder yet warm summers.

Sochi. It's not a great climate but beats Dublin in every applicable category (except maybe rainfall)

Dublin's summers are anything but warm. When I was there in August it was sweater weather like 70% of the time. The "summers" there would be my ideal March weather, like say on St. Paddy's Day

Almost chose Dublin but Sochi is better.

I am not a big fan of Sochi climate, too humid, winters not so fantastic either,
Dublin winter is almost as mild. But Sochi does have a summer.
