Was really hoping that I would get a good soaking rain today, but in the end of the day, nary a drop of rain fell at my location in Fort Worth Texas, so, because the rain passed me by, I had to get outside and water the peach tree, the Rosemary, the lemongrass and the lemon verbena, and with no widespread significant rain in the offing in North Texas for the next week, this means that I will have to make sure the peach tree gets enough water so that it doesn't wither(it is in a full sun location in my moms back yard), when I was watering the plants, I nearly got attacked by a swarm of fire ants(one of the few things that I actually detest about being in Texas).

Haha, 24 C is pretty impressive for you guys up there!

I honestly don't mind this time of year, I feel like it should be hot and humid this time of year lol. Once late August hits however, I get a bit fed up with it. In my ideal climate, August is the coolest summer month.

You'd be surprised how frequently the DP creeps up into the low 20's here lol! I'm not used to this humidity and it seems so much worse then last summer!

Oh, I know the humidity can be high up there at times lol. Low 20s C dew points is child's play though, that's our May and October dew points. At least you can take solace in the fact that by September it becomes much rarer though.

From about now until the end of August is when dew points peak here. I've seen it 85 F with a 78 F dew point here at midnight before . I think I've seen it 86 F with a 79 F dew point also at midnight.

It must feel weird to get 80°F+ lows in October.

I know this climate all too well, so it doesn't surprise me when it happens lol. But it is extremely aggravating. And of course, late summer and early fall is when really warm overnight lows happen most frequently due to very warm SSTs.

Seems strange to me because early fall is usually when we see our highest diurnal ranges. The sea makes a huge difference.

Make that another one at both locations today. Downtown hit 103 today! Airport 102.

The heat was short-lived though, storms moved in quickly and it dropped to low 70s by late afternoon
