Oh no, a high of 80, how brutally cold! It sounds pretty nice to me.

DC hasn't had a max temp in the 60s in July since 2001. It's only happened 3 times since 1941. Would be rare for sure.

We'll see what the actual pressure is Saturday morning but at 994mb strength storm it would be unusually strong for a Summer land storm.

Latest Euro has the 994mb storm over Maryland Saturday morning. Flash flooding across the MD/DE/NJ/PA areas.

Why this storm is happening...

Area Forecast Discussion
National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC
157 PM EDT Thu Jul 27 2017

Upper-level low will track from near Lake Winnepeg into the
Ohio Valley Friday, and into our area Friday night. This system
will interact with a cold front to our north, causing surface
low pressure to develop along the boundary. The upper-level low
and surface low will strengthen as it moves into our area Friday
night. Coastal low pressure is expected to develop near the
Delmarva Peninsula Friday night. This system is expected to
remain nearly stationary around this area through Saturday
night. This is because the closed upper-level low cuts off from
the jetstream.

Why does it feel like the rain keeps occurring on the weekend? Enough already lol.

I'm hoping everything slides to our south again, that's been the trend this summer. Philly, Central and South Jersey have been cashing in on all of the good storm threats we've had. If there isn't any thunder and lightning involved I don't want it. Save the stratiform rain for January.

93 F with a 74 F dew point here at the moment, with rumbles of thunder in the distance. I think Infamous would like this weather.

It does sound pleasant but the clouds are what make it so nasty.

If you are having a lame summer already, then an 80F high is not what you want

Lol, that rain becomes snow come January and NYC is the sweet spot instead of DC. I would love that as i would have an even larger margin of safety from these massive storms and their cold.
