Atlanta's normal high hit's 90°F and they don't hit 100°F every year

Weather enthusiasts don't count lol. I don't think "37.8°C" captures the interest of the general public the way "100°F" does.

Currently 104 F/40 C at 5:20PM. Figures I come here during a wicked heatwave, but at least it's a dry heat. The air quality is awful though. This probably beats the highest actual air temperatures I've ever experienced.

If it's dry heat then yes, but humid climates don't easily reach those high temperatures.

High was 40°C today, 0.6°C below average. Currently 25.6°C with a dewpoint of 20.6°C at 6pm Pacific Time thanks to a huge thunderstorm that came in after 5pm

Well above average in Oregon and Washington and below average to well below average temperatures for the Plains States, Great Lakes and the Northeast. (New grey color on the maps now)

85 F with a 77 F dew point here, 96 F heat index as of 10 PM. A very warm and sultry night. One could even call it a "hot night".
