I feel sorry for the places that were hit with the worst storms, snow, power outages, beating previous records. What was your experience and how did you cope when it was happening and now what are you doing to cope?

We in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, the "oil province", thank our lucky stars because we avoided the storms, snowfall, icy roads, and power outages, a mild winter in comparison to what other provinces and US states experienced.

The downside of this is a cooling-warming trend which has made it difficult here for grain farmers to harvest what they couldn't last year. It's made it almost impossible for grain to dry enough to combine.

It's raining today, no snow on the streets or ground downtown but we've been told we are getting snow soon.
