I wonder which constituency the vote will be given in? Is it always the last address one has had in the UK?

Here it doesn't really matter since it's strictly proportional. I still think it's the last Swedish address though!

I guess both Portsmouth constituencies will go blue regardless though

Yes will still go to Portsmouth South, we own our house that's there. Don't know if I will vote though as have no idea who I would vote for right now...

The finances weren't in awful shape, but they certainly should have been better.

Labour did an excellent job of bringing the budget under control in their first years, although sometimes via questionable methods, such as Gordon Brown selling off UK gold reserves at rock-bottom prices. But there was no excuse for the overspending from 2001-2008 considering the fact that it was a period of solid growth. Of course a lot of that was caused by illegal oil wars, but that's a different subject for a different day. Afterwards borrowing inevitably rose sharply in order to offset reduced revenue during a period of economic crisis. Steadily net borrowing is falling, and the debt seems to have turned a corner, but has a long way to go.

Osborne's pledge to balance the books by 2015 was clearly nonsense, just like his party's promise to get immigration below 100,000. Although he would have had a better chance of meeting the target if he had also targeting tax avoidance rather than just penny-pinching from the poor.

The problem as I see it is that Labour's economic plan will add to the debt. They advocate higher borrowing and adjustments to the minimum wage and worker regulations that will raise unemployment, at least in the short term. The priority really should be to get control of the debt ASAP, the economic shock was immense when the debt levels were at 40%, it'll be a whole new world of pain if it strikes while it's sitting around 80%, especially with the uncertainty around Brexit.

ANOTHER power cut in my area. Three in the past year. This is completely unacceptable. Are we the third world now?

I hated both teams but I'm glad Bayern lost. Until Bundesliga becomes more competitive I will root against them each year

what's the reason why Corbyn is so unpopular? Is it his policies or just his personality and style? Bernie occupied a similar (left anti-establishment) but he was generally popular, maybe not quite enough to win a national election but doesn't seem to turn off voters the same way as Corbyn.

For me it's a mix of all three. He does seem to be ridiculously far left & has some daft ideas, but I just cannot take the bloke seriously at all, he certainly isn't PM material...
