I sprained my ankle on my daily 5k run... nothing broke but swollen like hell. Was in pain until I squatted this morning which got rid of the pain but increased swelling ( yes I know I am mentally retarded). Nothing broken and a swollen ankle with no pain. I had the doc confused.

Sprained ankle means 1-2 months out for football (soccer) players. Are you really sure you want to train like normal the coming week man?
It hurts but nothing's broken. The artificial bone mixture they poured in there is rock solid.

Running no, probably won't run for another week. Lower body workouts I should be able to do as I squatted 295 pretty well today for some reps and felt nothing. Upper body of course not affected. I'm kind of mad as I was making great time on my 5k ( I run more actually at 4 miles not 3 so technically not 5k). Hit 23 minutes give or take on one run. Average is about 25.
I'm also mad as I recently mastered doing perfect handstands which I won't attempt till this heals. Glad I broke nothing, may this simple ankle sprain be the worst of my problems.

To be fair, what jg said wasn't exactly Italian either.
yea, I know. That was my point it wasn't stereotypical "Italian-American" but actual Italian. Yesterday, I saw a couple where the father was an Italian immigrant and the mother was Spanish-speaking (from South America? maybe Colombia). Anyhow, the dad was speaking to their kid in Italian, mom in Spanish. Attempt to teach both him both languages? Sounded like the parents could understand each others' languages.
