Seriously Junter, what's a typical work day in spain? When do people generally sleep, what time is the siesta and what time do people eat? I eat my dinner pretty late (8/8:30pm) but I remember in Barcelona people coming into restaurants at 11
I couldn't figure out what their work schedules were like when I visited. There appeared to obvious rush hour in public transit systems and many shops were open very late.

Median wage is 3500$/mo in Sweden, I guess for full-time equivalent work I think.

Yeah, the UK is swarming with Poles, for example.

Yeah, I know people ate very late but I also noticed that lunchtime was very busy as if everyone was off work.. I wonder if Spanish really do nap during siesta or if they just chill by he beach? Maybe Junter could let us know

Roughly a million poles living in the UK, only about 30,000 Brits living in Poland.

No one does siesta outside from agriculture workers from the south and not a single normal person eats at 11.

You probably mistaken the Andalusians working on the Agriculture in summer with all of Spain. As they have no other choice being +35°C on almost every day in the afternoon where the agriculture is in Andalucia.

And about the eating... most families eat at 9pm. Probably you've seen tourists doing it at 11 or youngsters which after eating will go to parties...

A normal office schedule is from 9 to 17 with 1h of break. Others start at 8 but do a 2h break. Others start at 9 and end at 18 after a 2h break. It depends.

Stores close from 13.30-14.00 to 16.30-17.00 and they remain opened until 20.00-20.30

Supermarkets mostly from 9 to 21. Stores in malls, malls, department stores, etc normally from 9-10 to 21-22

And about the wages... about 250€ less per month than in the UK...

Sweden has a bit more than 3.000€ Baba, not 3.500. Btw the difference between Spain and Portugal is massive.

And we have slightly lower taxes (%) and we pay cheaper gas prices than our neighbor country, for example. Crazy.

185 euros/month in Ukraine?

That's 1/3 the basic unemployment in Sweden. Madness if the crooks in Brussels ever lets them into the EU

Seeing Iceland as the highest paid Nordic country they'd still have to pay me ten times as much to go and live up in that subpolar hellhole! I also think Portugal's figures will be quite a bit higher than that. Prices there aren't that low, especially at Madeira and in Lisbon/Porto which are the three main urban regions of the country where 1/2 of its population live pretty much.

In Spain the basic unemployment welfare is 426€ and applies if you ended your post unemployment contributions (first 70-75% of your last wage, then 60% of it). After that you can apply to regional welfare depending on the region or to the national 426€ subsidio.

Here in the Valencian Community since 2017 the basic welfare is about 530€. So yes, here it's the same, their wage is almost 1/3! Crazy.

But more people in the UK actually receive wages due to much lower unemployment. The devaluation of the pound has also significantly lowered the number for the time being, since the wages are measured in Euros.
