Greeks and Italians are brothers, especially to us Southern Italians. One can never forgive Mussolini for his fratricidal aggression against Greece.
Personally, though, I am proud that although Italian fascism and Mussolini were appreciably popular along Italian-Americans in the pre-war era, Italian-Americans dropped that like a hot potato and aligned with the USA virtually overnight upon the American entry into the war.

Why do you think it matter? I'm an Italian-American - we have our own thing going for us. We don't try to imitate Italy. Italian ancestry is just a point of pride. Among other things, it's a heritage that's had a profound impact on this great country - both in terms of its foundation as well as the role and legacy of Italian-Americans in society.
