I just want a return to average summers, the ones you expect to get like 1996, 2004 etc.

Good grief man, your pessimism is overwhelming!

BBC Weather - London

It looks like its going to be quite sunny and warm over the next couple of weeks in London to me? What do you expect? Its never going to be the same as Khartoum.

easthome , B87 has hit the depths .

London has had it bad the last few summers - not sure why the capital has been singled out so much tbf but i notice a lot of below averages compared with other parts of southern UK .

I've had 10 years to refine it.

If we now have 10 years of sunny summers with hot Augusts, or even just 10 years of normal summers, I'll stop complaining.

Not gonna happen.

If you want warm, sunny weather, then move somewhere that's warm and sunny.
I really dislike weather in the UK, particularly summer, but it is what it is, so I accept it.

Nobody would have ever said that we'd have 7 close to record-breaking cloudy summers in 10 years either. I expect to see over 200 hrs in June, July and August.

I want our normal summers, or better. That's surely going to happen at some point. We can't not have our typical summers forever.

Something like 1996, 2004, 2005 were nothing special, but I'd take any of those this year.

Even a "normal" summer is nothing to write home about. Just move to the south coast if you want more sun, even an average summer in some of those places would probably be close to the all-time record in London.

We're all in the same boat, but you're the only one moaning endlessly about it. Please tone it down a bit.
