Back on topic - today should be the day.
Let's see which forecast is right

I don't think it's going to happen today, It probably will this weekend though despite forecasts for Saturday and Sunday being downgraded from around 30C to around 26C.

So we have...

Weather.com: 24c
BBC: 26c
WO: 25c

It's 23c at midday, so BBC looking most likely.

What are you brits complaining about? As you can see, it's been the hottest May ever!

Possibly in the north, the south East seems to have had a torrid time until recently. With cloud at least.

It's been almost exactly average, 0.3c as of yesterday.

We've just scraped over the 100 hr mark, so will probably end up with the 3rd cloudiest on record. 2nd cloudiest had 123 hrs and we will surpass that by the weekend.

BBC news seem to have reviewed the peak temperature today down to 25C, but have given London 26C Tomorrow and Friday.

29C predicted in Northern Scotland on Friday followed by storms!!!

30C still predicted for London on Saturday.

Almost exactly average for the mean? Or is that figure for max temps only?
