I don't get the constant "digs" at climates in the UK and the opposite towards American climates from some British posters. It's weather/climate, for ****s sake. Why does everything need to be a competition?
Anyways, Minneapolis has the best summers out of all of them.
sorry Alex - certainly wasn't a dig at Seattle - it sure looks a beautiful city and i intend to get there one day .
Just a pure observation about the contrasting climate ,nothing less . ( i also said it has 6 mths of good weather - would many Seattleites even go that far ? )
I've said far worse about Glasgow and other UK locations
In fact i have said many times USA has some fantastic climates across the board . Canada even gets in on the act .

I love Seattle's dry summers but sometimes I wish they were a little longer and hotter, the last couple of years have been really great but they are a bit abnormal. So just looking at the stats I think I like Minneapolis's summer more because it's the sunniest, least humid, and doesn't receive to many rainy days, and gets a good amount of rain at the same time to keep everything green.

I assume Seattle inhabitants generally don't have AC units is that correct?
It's highly unusual in southern Sweden with only narrowly cooler summers.

Yeah most houses don't have AC including the one I live in, however a lot of the newer ones do have them, either way most people tend to buy a few of those AC's that you stick into your window which I use a couple times a year when the heat waves come in.
Helsinki /St Petersburg winter v Seattle winter would be an interesting battle
cold v rain
