In that case I go with Darwin.

Knysna seems extremely comfortable for one day, although I wouldn't like to have temperatures like that the whole summer.
It also seems like SA is under a pretty strong cold wave right now; from what I see on Wikipedia, Knysna's average high should be slightly above 20c for July.

Well, the cold blast is over, so I choose Punta Arenas, the airport still has some snow trough.
