Id still say color is to a minimum though, still no where near peak we will see probs if weather stays warm in November , or we will just slowly wilt away through October.
A few trees are starting to turn orange and brown and drop leaves. It's ahead of last year, but we still have a ways to go for peak foliage. We had a wet August, a dry first 2/3 of September, and it's been wet since then.

Current Upper Heights and Temps at 5000'

The PV is so close yet so far away. At least it's on the North American side.

You can see why its warm in Eastern U.S. Warm flow from southwest at upper levels and from the south at mid levels(not shown here)

I want it to be below freezing at 850mb asap! Had enough of last 4 weeks being Dry & Hot with only 1 small cool break..

Jet stream keeps diving down in the West over the Rockies.

This weekend the Rocky Mountains rise again....I mean the Jet stream rises north in the West and well north into Eastern Canada.

Models backing off the cold idea next weekend now in the Northeast. This is why. The Rocky Mountains shrink again as the Jet stream digs down in the West again. We'll see.
