almost 60 at sunrise. dark and cloudy. doubt I'll see a morning as warm as this till next year. Can see a lot of bright leaves out my balcony, a bright orange, a bright red and more in the distance. and an oak tree that's a dull green

Doubt that for some reason. I'll be in shorts in December probably with 70s and sunglasses. This just feels normal. We had more below normal days in Summer than this fall. Still debating with myself if I like that.

Seattle on board.. A record for yesterdays date and its the 2nd most snow this early in 120yrs of records. Almost 1/2" accumulated yesterday.
The Snow depth of "T" was for yesterday morning 12z. Wonder how much of the 0.4" melted for todays 12z report. Probably another T again although temps stayed in the 30s overnight.

All of it melted right away. This is why snowfall and snow accumulations are very two different things. Today is supposed to be sunny and cold. No more snow expected in the near future.

Why do you keep claiming that "no snow accumulated". Snow is measured solely with regard to the amount that it accumulates...if 0.4" of snow was recorded than that means that 0.4" of snow accumulated.
Snow depth is measured once a day at a pre-designated time. Accumulation is a direct translation of the amount of snow that stayed on the ground at a controlled measuring location.

Accumulation is usually measured more often than once a day; so the totals are higher due to compaction and/or melting. Here are the NWS guidelines for measuring snow:
