It's my 24th birthday. I blew out the sun instead of candles.

Unlike here, no driving an hour or two to a bigger place for a wider range of facilities. Lots of problems with crime there apparently and the remoteness is ridiculous. Also, the bottle shops are only open from 2pm-9pm and are closed on Sundays!!! Apparently you also have to get your ID scanned at the bottle shops and I heard you can only buy a certain amount of alcohol a day That's reason enough to not live there.

Property prices are ridiculous, like this, you can rent a glorified prison cell for the bargain price of $350 a week! https://www.realestate.com.au/proper...llen-415740831
Wtf this is why its not good to live in isolated underpopulated ****holes like Alice Springs. Its the crime, the boredom, the crime, etc. Considering how isolated it is I wouldnt be surprised if it's some sort of serial killer/meth addict haven, same way that New Mexico or the Adirondacks or the Ozarks are in the US. Probably a lot of Walter Whites there

Yeah it's much better to live or at least work in the major cities or major towns within 200km from the coast. Generally a higher socio-economic status in coastal areas/cities (as you'd expect).

Keene valley in the Adirondacks seemed like a pretty happy place
