Athen, No- it doesn't rain much normally but this August has been very rainy (showery)

yesterday morning the sun was out and felt toasty enough -then around 3 x heavy showers sun/rain combo and by the third downpour the temperature really dropped - to around 15c from 22c in a short space of time - yes ,it was real hoodie weather

has happened a few times this year

It usually drops 8-10 F (4-6 C) after a summer thunderstorm here.

It always cools down nicely after any significant rainfall, no matter the season.

It rains more often than not around here in summer, and temps are significantly cooler at this latitude with these heavy overcast conditions.

Probably 50-60F when raining, 60-75F when partly cloudy to sunny.

In winter, it's the opposite: Rainy weather is warmer than clear weather. Rainy weather will be 35-45, sunny 10-35 or so.

Yes. Northeast Ohio has frequent summer thunderstorms come through and the temperature will frequently drop about 6-8 C. Doesn't usually require hoodie as these types of thunderstorms tend to drop from 28-33 C to 20-25 C after a hot spell.

It is more noticeable for outer ware adjustments (and pronounced) in early autumn when we can go from an "Indian Summer" like day of 25 C and sunny to about 15 C and cool and damp.

Areas from NE Ohio to Western and upper NY State have this happen quite often due to weather effect of eastern Great Lakes. An added note, this area also is one of only four areas in world with "Lake effect" snowfall which is a real treat if you don't have to drive in it - and like snow, otherwise it can be miserable.

Absolutely. Summer rain is rare here in Esquel, but when it does rain it can get quite cold. Sometimes the high won't go above 15°C.
