Below 20 is almost unbearable. Above 90 is generally OK, though.
75-80 outside feels perfect to me.
Just the opposite here, I'll take 20 any time I can get and it, and in Houston I never get it

You're "lucky" as we're often cold in Fall, Winter and Spring.

Perth and subzero?
I thought subzero (Fahrenheit) was impossible in Australia, at least under 2000 metres.

*Sub-zero is equal to minus-18 degrees Celcius and is a brutal, nasty cold...
Why would you want that?

** Where I live we get "sub-zero" Fahrenheit at least once every 19-out-of-20 winters. Some winters up to 40 horrible days of it.
Sorry, I meant 0 C, im used to subzero literally meaning freezing. Even that we dont seem to get a lot of. I'm not too fussed about what I can or can't tolerate, I just want to feel the seasons properly. Yes most of Canada except Vancouver is likely too cold for this. I just wish we had winter lows of around 30F and winter highs of middle 40s. Summer should max out at 85 too.

I'm sure I would be coping much better in -18C, once in a while. Having temperatures of around 40C all summer long means I do not get any sleep even with the air conditioning and no clothes on, and yes just like -18C you cannot go outside. :P

Yes I will take 20F over 90F too. I can put more clothes on and keep moving while outside to keep warm, but in 90F I will not be wearing enough clothes to remove, and constantly swimming isn't my thing either. :P

cold is evil. Excessive cold is actually painful. Excessive heat is merely uncomfortable at worst.

To me excessive heat is unbearable and more than uncomfortable, I can't stand it. Funny how we all tolerate different temps.

Just now I was cleaning my pool, which required dipping my hands into the 54ºF water. After a minute it started to hurt. Like actually hurt!

absolutely...I positively hate cold weather! As long as I'm near a pool, it can get as hot as it wants! Besides that is what AC is for When it is so cold that your teeth hurt, then it's time to move South, which is what I'm doing! When you go outside and your doors are frozen shut on your vehicle, that's cold! Been there, done that...tired of it!
