Small US cities can look depressing due to lack of people . European cities are so much more vibrant.

One of the lakes, one that's in a very blatant frost hollow valley (there's always fog and frost in the mornings there even when there isn't any up where we live), has frozen now. Thickness was about 2 cm, just enough for me to stand on it.

I tried going a little further back but abandoned the plan when the ice started cracking.

Really was glass-clear. Plants were frozen in time.

I tried stomping through the ice. It wasn't easy as I didn't wanna put my whole weight into it...

I tried skipping rocks, and man, it sounded exactly like in this video. Really cool. You guys should try it if you ever find a thin-layered glass-clear frozen lake this winter.

Unlike my first October 17th frost, this morning's was very light. Only on roofs and not thick. Same air temp both days. 38°F (3.3C).

I would of thought more would happen this morning since ground is very wet from the storm, but maybe that's why it didn't. Too much moisture didn't allow the grass to cool and evaporate enough?

I think too much moisture is bad, too. Very cloudy for a cold morning today. Would have been even colder if it were clear
