It's stunning IRL. It's Castillon lake, in the mountains NW of Nice, a few dozen kilometers upstream from the Verdon canyon. Precisely there:

The color is due to fluorine and micro algae present in the Verdon river, as well as clay soils. Other places along the course of the river share the same green to turquoise colors:

This is how it looked when I came back. I am going to enjoy it while it lasts.

Nice photos. What was the temperature? -those folks don't look like they're in summer mode.

I would say it was 14-15 most of the day and it got to 18 which lasted for an hour. It really felt like mid-late October due to wind chill.

I guess weather just isn't that important when you go somewhere like Paris.

Just noticed those Phoenix palms in the 8th photo -looks like they're transportable.

^^ Yup they're transportable. Never seen any planted there. They even have transportable trachys for some reason, though many are planted too.

Wow you have a stunning view if that's your office! Remember that building from Sim City 4 - Columbia center?

You're not missing out on any settled weather btw. The GFS has 35 mm falling on Wednesday night in Paris.
