Currently here, in Aurora, ME...29F, Dew Point 25F...Winds SE 3MPH
They are no longer forecasting snow in our area...Guess we wait and see...Thought about those light, fluffly flakes during the 10 hrs we worked today in the bakery (where it was hot and intense)! The sky certainly looked pregnant with hopefull snow (on our hour commute home), but was never birthed!
Perhaps the morning commute to work at 4:45am), will draw-it out from the clouds....
Another day closes, here at Birch Meadows Farm...Where the land and us long to return and live fully alive, as one!
Hmmm. Some good rules in here. Except #2. You dont need cold air "locked in" ahead of time for snow but is a decent rule of thumb especially for southern mid atlantic

Clear and Breezy..
There is a nip in the air...which embraces and can chill one to the bone if out too long or not quickly scurring about one's business...
Forgot today, it was Friday....Since we fell back an hour, my body is having difficulting adjusting in the morning and evening...have to drag my bum out in the morning and fall asleep an hour early in the evening...Combine that with an increase in another ten hours a week (we're now working six tens at the bakery), many of us are losing track of not only time but, in moments, our senses!
So enjoyed the beauty of the setting sun on the way home, the light on the Shed Porch and entering a peaceful place out in the country...where one's neighbor minds their own business (unless they notice you've been sick for a week, then plow the snow from your dooryard)!
Longing for the four-day holiday week ahead (beginning next Wednesday night)!
When is the last time Bastardi predicted average or above average winter temps?
He predicts above average temps every year for the west. I believe the last time he called for the PNW to be cold during winter was back in 2007.
