It isn't unusual for November. I don't particularly like it, but I can remember other Thanksgivings in the past 50 years that were as warm as this.
I suppose the Los Angeles climate overall has always been an "F" for many people. I give it an A-. Maybe a total of two weeks every year are too warm; the other 350 days are awesome.

When records are broken ‘unusual’ is the only word to use. Even at the start of November it shouldn’t be getting any higher than 31C (88F) if it is usual weather

Okay...you clearly know the fine points of our weather better than I do. All I can say is that the only people I've heard freaking out about its being over 90F on Thanksgiving are here in this thread. The locals took it in their stride, because they know it can hit 90 or more any month of the year.

It's only "unusual" if the record broken is a monthly record or if that temp rarely happens in the month. A daily record broken doesn't necessarily mean its unusual.
So far L.A has 2 days hitting 90+ this November.
In 1956 & 1976 Los Angeles hit 90° in November 4 times. You know, before the climate was changing. lol
Plenty other Novembers where 90°F was hit.
Even hit 94°+ twice in November 2010, 1997 & 1956
Now, to be fair.... Hitting 90° after November 15th HAS happened, but hitting twice is tough. Only 1958 and 1980 did it and both years hit 90°F in December there.
I remember as a kid in Ohio we would watch the Rose Parade and literally point at the TV. "They're wearing T-shirts...in January!" we would cry. Now here I am, washing my car while the turkey's cooking on Thanksgiving. Dreams do come true.
Luckily, it's never been in the 90's in Alexandria, LA in November. The record high for the month was 89F on Nov 27, 1965.
