True, but December has the most extremes, the all time temperature range is from -22°C to +16°C where I live, including -19°C to +16°C in the last 7 years.

19 December 2010 -8°C/-19°C
19 December 2015 16°C/14°C

2015 was a more surreal experience, especially as the high temperature occurred before sunrise, so at the same time as it was -19°C in 2010 it was +16°C in 2015!

Also the +14°C is virtually the record high minimum December temperature on record in England, whilst the -8°C is the record low maximum.


Bet Denver doesn't get December lows in the teens, on very rare occasions we can record higher night time temperatures than the canary islands at 28°N.

LOL, Denver is at it again. It was 21C today but tonight it’s going to snow with a low of -6C!

Guess it isn’t so rare after all

Edit: So it’s currently 4C warmer than LA and yet snow is forecast tonight!?
