Officially the second heat wave of the year here.

28/12: 23.1ºC-35.5ºC
29/12: 24ºC-35.4ºC
30/12: 24.3ºC-38ºC

Today's max was the highest of the year also. Fortunately a cold front is coming, so we'll had a balmy new year eve and day ending 2017 as the warmest on record here and in the whole country!

Pretty nice heatwave you've got going on there ^^^

We're expecting 33C today with an afternoon seabreeze and 33C tomorrow; both days will be sunny. I'm then going camping with mates in a national park from the 3rd January to the 6th. The temps each day will be
3rd: 36/14- sunny
4th: 34/14- sunny
5th: 27/12- partly cloudy
6th: 25/9- sunny

All eyes on the sky in Sydney today what with the fireworks tonight. Was drizzling this morning but I think we will be ok. Currently 26C, so quite nice.

First proper rainfall in about the last three months, with 71 mm overnight -river is well up, so probably 2-3 times that amount in the hills.

We are on a sort of "melbournesque" pattern this summer, too. Today it was hot (max of 36.7ºC), but cold is coming and tomorrow will be like 10ºC below. The cool down will be brief (two days) and then another heat wave, and so on.
