WIND! Unless the wind is very gusty, tv forecasters rarely mention wind. Wind is a big factor when you spend time in the open. I usually just check wunderground if I need a forecast.

Hmm, our weatherman always includes the wind forecast, usually hour by hour.

Wind is always mentioned in forecasts here. Maybe you just don't pay enough attention.

Wind is mentioned in our forecasts here, especially in winter because of the windchill factor.

Wind was a real issue last night for us because we had work to do outside of the shop but it had dropped to 8 F at the time the trailers were ready to be worked on and the winds had picked up so I didn't want to put anyone out there last night.

Tonight wasn't much better (ha) but at least it wasn't windy and the work got done with rotating workers and frequent breaks from the cold.
