Surely most cannot pick Campbell Island. It is much duller, wetter and colder than Cleethorpes, despite being closer to the equator. Also this is comparing a coastal location with another coastal location, to be consistent.

Cleethorpes is an E not far from D and has good summers, but Campbell Island is an F and is disgusting.

Cleethorpes, for the warmer summers and more sun.

Campbell Island, and it's not even a bloody contest! Campbell Island is far colder year-round and gets much greater snowfall amounts than the bland ****hole that is Cleethorpes. Cleethorpes can easily fit at 43° N/S...absolutely pathetic.

I don't get what's wrong with replying to trolls. It doesn't make more work for the moderators, that's rubbish. And how is Campbell Island winning? It wouldn't win anything else. Such stereotyping, need to do Cleethorpes vs Orcadas Base now dullest place in world!

Please do explain how I'm trolling. Is it wrong for me to favour the cooler climate (that is, Campbell Island)?

Higher sun angle in Campbell Island sounds pleasant, will surely work on my tan there whenever it comes out

I wasn't referencing anyone, its just for some reason the moderators won't accept replying to trolls. I just want to know why Campbell Island is winning. Most people on this forum would choose Cleethorpes over Campbell Island, you're obviously not one of them.

Yes, today's UV index is 6 (High) and cloud cover down to 8% at 6pm, so today is one of the rare clear days. You'd need a coat though with it being 9°C. I should imagine it would be a bizarre feeling. It would look a lot warmer outside than it actually is - Bouvet Island would be even weirder.

Certainly a much lower UVI than the mainland today, which has forecast UVI between 10 in Invercargill, and 13 in Auckland.

Southern areas recorded a UVI of 14 yesterday.

According to the UK Met Office, Auckland has a UV forecast of 9 (Very High) today, so its actually a much smaller difference than you think. Although the Met Office has forecast cloud for Auckland.
