Well that is a good thing, as it means largely rural and beautiful. And in my eyes the UK has far more severe winters than Mongolia, in that there is a severe lack of sun.

Absolutely, in my eyes a severe winter is highs of 8°C with almost eternally grey skies and occasional drizzle. A pleasant winter is one with -11°C highs with sunshine in 92% of daylight hours.

No because it is a polar night hellhole in winter

I meant in the Northern Hemisphere.
