So there's the Clipper which is happening today brought snow to the MidWest, that will just dissolve before hitting the Appalachians and a new coastal storm will take over. That's the Northeast snow..
The South snow is because a front is sagging all the way south with Arctic Air and southern Moisture.
Very cool!! Watch that little piece coming from North Carolina moving up the coast.. Without that (coastal storm) we wouldn't be seeing over 2" of snow anywhere
clouded over this afternoon, could be the edge of this winter storm. Started with overcast but with big puffy clouds, then followed by a blank gray that often precedes snow.
Nice! We need to keep adding our season totals up. We need to beat speagles totals! It's a race.
We should do a contest next year.. Which CD member will get the most snow.
Keep us posted what's going on with this one.. Wish I had time to cover entire country..

Yeah, I had a lot of stratus clouds today but mine was low clouds from the ocean though..
Actually yours was too.. Check it out! Only now the Clipper clouds are moving in.
Winter weather advisories issued here as well at 4 PM. Also a wind chill advisory. Forecast to stay below freezing during the day tomorrow.
NWS LCH is saying accumulations of less than an inch of snow & sleet accumulation possible. The NAM shows maybe 2 inches falling.
Houston upgraded to Winter Storm Warning.
Wow! Don't forget to take the inner gauge & funnel out. I keep forgetting the wind chill and cold part of all this..
I also notice Southwest Kentucky getting another little snowstorm again. They just had one Friday the 12th. Paducah, Kentucky has over 7" for the season now
2:30-6:30pmEST loop...
Those little specs of blue over Eastern MA causing some slick roads there with light snow and frz rain. I believe that's ocean effect precip but not sure.
This whole frontal moisture/arctic air setup seems like a reoccurring event since December. It's definitely a favorable setup for snow. Need both aspects
