I'm afraid the drought is going to cause a crazy wildfire season this year in Arizona. Temperatures have continued to be above-average, while precipitation is below-average.

Eventually the pattern will favor rain for the Southwest and a drought for the East. For now, Eastern U.S getting all the rains.

Whats going on in the plains this summer? Seeing reports of bad corn and really dry conditions.


Des Moines, Iowa only has 1.48" since July 1st. Looks like driest its been for the period in over 40yrs,since 1975. Few 1930s in Top 20

Just wait until this time next year and the Plains and Midwest will REALLY be hurting for moisture, I predict the drought next year will make the dust bowl look like the rose bowl.
