1:15-5:15pmEST loop.

The spin you see is from the large Upper Low. Most of the snow in the Ohio Valley and PA is from that.
Coastal storm is too far off the coast and not a factor for us here.

I don't see any heavy identifiable banding as we usually see but the constant moisture feed off the Atlantic plus the instability of the atmosphere is pushing folks over 6" in many areas..

Close up with storm reports.

Light snow now (finally?). As of 6 pm, I have 11.1 inches. Awesome, biggest storm since 2015. What a great winter day; surprise of the day, the school district I live in didn't even get a delay!

Thanks for posting some totals. Has Eastern Region Headquarters posted anything yet?

This is what I was waiting to see. It's happening now.

Lots of moisture push off the Atlantic still and what appears to be more mature bands now. 1-2"/hr rates under the purples.

Last 4 hrs. Watch the purple heavy band enter CT couple hrs ago but then fizzle out. All day they just been breaking apart.

We'll see if these new ones come on shore in couple hours as the storm pulls away.

Looks about done in Philly although it might pick up a little next couple hours.
Pittsburgh at the end.
