Could happen, but I've managed to live in roughly the same spot in California for 48 years and not experienced any devastating quake.

Meanwhile, there's been a LOT of really great weather over those 48 years.

The Northeast could have a hurricane, tornado, blizzard, or flood any time, as far as that goes. It could even be hit by a damaging earthquake!

I live in the Denver area, and this has been the driest winter I can remember in 30 years, although that might not actually be correct. However, we have been having day after day after day with no precipitation, and I am TIRED of it! Does anyone else who is reading this get depressed when too many days go by with no rain or snow?
Absolutely, month after month of unrelentingly bright so-called 'perfect' days can really be a downer, I'm being serious, especially if you grew up in a 'normal' place with cloudy days and rain possible at anytime of year.

The sameness of it gets boring here on the leeward dry part of the island so I just love this time of year since we do get some rain, some clouds and a break from the heat.

Or that mega tsunami that will wipe out the east coast from the Canary islands.

Oh, hell no! I will take warm and sunny 365 days of the year. I get depressed when it's dark and dreary all day. I like summer thunderstorms where it gets really dark then storms and then it's gone. But I don't want it to last all day or several days.

Stable, consistent weather of any sort can get depressing and unbearable either way.

No absolutely not,. It's rather the opposite. I have endured too many years with either rain or snow so I could easily have a clear blue sky with zero rain for the rest of eternity.

*holds my hands up* - too much is so repetitive, boring and depressing . I love seeing/hearing rain as well as cloudy skies

Pretty much everyone who has lived here for long will feel this way after a couple weeks of sunny weather.

When one becomes so accustomed to cloudy, wet weather then they get uncomfortable with day after day of sunshine.

Our record dry spell is 21 days. This winter has been an unusually, cold, sunny and dry one, so I'm really looking forward to some warmer temps and rainfall.
