Default I hate winter

Actually that isn't true I like winter..... in the south, it's the northern winter I hate. I want to be in the yard and planting. Tomorrow starts the rain and snow again for the next few days. I'm going to be sick.

Yeah, but come summer in the south, theyll be running the A/C non-stop, swatting away hoardes of mosquitos and fire ants, and wishing for cooler weather.

No place is perfect. Take what you got with a grain of salt.

Yes but that's partly because many people in the South use A/C too much. (IMHO, A/C is wasted below 80 F.)

By sunset, most nights in the Carolinas, most A/C units would probably cut themselves off if the stat was set at 80 F.

*Just about everyone is hating winter here. Wet snow/rain today. What a mess.
Winter started back in late November, so 4 months strong so far, and it won't stop anytime soon.

I hate the winter too. Here in the PNW the summer highs are usually in the 70's which to me is still cold. I could really use a hot, sticky summer. I can tolerate that much more than constant cold weather.

If you ever come see me, bring your blanket If I could afford it I'd keep my AC on 70 Or maybe even 68

I never really minded winter all that much until the last two years. Why, you ask?

Because of the wind. The wind here this winter has been unbearable. I don't mean a little breeze, I mean tie-down-the-patio-furniture-because-the-winds-are-blowing wind. Most of this season it's been winds of more than 10mph, with a lot of days winds 30mph and gusting to 45 mph. When it's already 32 degrees, heavy winds make it feel like sub-zero. It goes right through me, regardless of how many layers I have on!

I hate winter with all my heart and soul. We're moving to NC next year and I can not wait.
