Not disputing your claim that Queenstown is sunnier in winter because I am sure it's true. However, with our sunny summer days the difference at the end of the year is probably not that great.
Possibly - if Vancouver gets close to 60 % of estimated possible sunshine hours, then they would be close.

One thing missing in Queenstown though, is the grey season, there isn't one.

I was referring to Timaru, Oanaru being sunnier in winter, but also sunniest in winter - certainly not PNW like in that regard.

These are pretty similar indeed in the "warm summer oceanic" category although Portland obviously has the more mediterranean rainfall distribution pattern.

If I had to live in a Cfb climate that would be one of these certainly.
