Not true. The warmest temperatures are often recorded outside London in places such as Wisley, Gravesend, Farnborough, Faversham, Cambridge.
Of all the monthly record high temperatures, only those of February, April, May and July were set in London.

Lossiemouth I think recorded the warmest temp in the UK last May.
