It could have been a coconut palm killer if it was later Dec or into Jan.

Nah...the winter pattern has to flip at some point. The east has hogged the cold and snow for long enough now (ex. 5 consecutive winters with above average snowfall in New York). Hoping for a 1950 or '69 repeat next January.

Remember this from 1st week of January? Jet stream way south and all that arctic air poured in.

I like it's happening in summer (no heat!) But I hope it happens again for winter.

Low this morning here was 69 F. Doesn't sound very low, but then you realize it's southern Georgia in July and then it's pretty impressive.

Yeah went a whole week with the high below 50 F during early Jan, just like in December 2010, but it's summer right now so I can't really think about that, lol.

I should of grabbed a loop. No clouds forming over the water but on land...boom. Heat from land causing instability where as water is more stable and cooler. I think it's that simple. Cool look
