Yeah, your looking at 5000' not the surface. And GFS is garbage. Play the loop of wind direction and you'll see it

How is the GFS garbage if it saw this heat wave coming from a week ago? Sure it ain't great but it ain't garbage.

87F with a dew point of 61F here at 4:11 p.m. Winds are blowing about 5 mph from the ESE. I thought it would be more humid than this today, but I’m not complaining. It actually doesn’t feel too bad in the shade, especially when the wind blows.

Anyway Newark hit 96°F today. Newark should hit or exceed 100°F tomorrow according to the NWS and TWC.

Welcome to western Pennsylvania where my 1400' elevation prevents me from hitting 90F . High only reached 87F as of 5 pm, underperformed from the forecast of 92F

Still very hot though, hear index is 96F
