Snow is falling across central Illinois this afternoon where the temperature is hovering just above freezing. We have rain now with temps in the upper 40s.

Dewpoint is a nice 66f and temp is 80f. Sure is a change from 5 months of hell.

Garden City seems to have a particular tendency toward very early and late season snowstorms.

Elevation definitely helps there at 2800' but yeah, always interesting to see them get snow early and late.

I don't, unfortunately. I looked back in my CoCoRaHS reporting but apparently I'm very sporadic when it comes to reporting frost and I only go back to 2015 as a member of that. I do have Oct 15th, 2015, nothing reported for 2016, and October 27, 2017. NWS lists our average first frost (temp below 36) in Indy as October 11. Average first freeze is October 14.
