Not yet. Let's wait until third week of January before we give in. But even then, February could still be cold like 2015 was. That year December and January weren't anything special.

Drama queen.

It is Dec 29. Winter's just started. There are many months of winter left.

Currently 42F in Austin under cloudy skies, looks like night here, high and low clouds, looks dreary. High is going to be 42F since there's no sun.

I have my fireplace ready, going to get groceries then I'll light the first fire of the year. We had some cold weather in November and early December but my oak wood was still curing so I couldn't burn it yet. I cut it early July so I needed to wait 6 months. It's more or less cured now so time to light it!

another storm with a path from the southwest rather than up the coast. Brings more warmth to further west than east so the Adirondacks get more rain than Maine mountains at the same latitude

2:45pmEST map.

Temps dropping here and with wind gusts to 25mph. Started off warm and full sun, now feels like winter day with some clouds around.

Beautiful day
