Not as bad as we had it prior to today's snowfall...

This winter so far looks to be the birth child of 2006-07 and 2014-15. Both of those had lousy December and Early January periods and both had a colder late January to February period. The main difference is that 2006-07 didn't have near as active of a subtropical jet whereas 2014-15 was extremely active across the Ohio Valley when it was time to get the cold air cranking.

strong north-south difference in seasonal snowfall totals. Massachusetts has gotten very little, southern VT/NH below average, northern VT/NH above with almost 100

snow in the last few days

Just more the same boring weather for my area, no rain at all thanks to no El Nino like i knew there would be none this year.

Temps are not too crazy at least no mid 80's like Jan 2015. Nothing even close to 39 or lower. So it could be worse on higher temps. I called for a dry winter months ago and i am right again like always.

Slightly above normal temps this week. Our lows more than our highs....

I ended up with 5 inches of snow by my me (Bourbonnais). Midway 3.5 inches and about 2inches up at ORD.

More snow on the way by next week?
