Snow? no, all the fields covered in hail

But, with all the warmth during the last week, the trees are like on roids, green at their fullest. Today is more cool: max of 19ºC.

Cool start of November here: 6.4ºC/18.8ºC today, even with sun and little wind.

Yesterday the north of the country had huge storms. A plain was severely damaged by the big hail and had to do an emergency landing.

Changeable spring weather for the South Island over the last couple of day. Kaikoura had a high of 31C on thursday, and a high of 11C on Friday. Snow to about 250 metres in the central S.I. 650mm of rain over 48 hours for the Arthur's pass region.

Nothing much here -forecast heavy rain, turned out to be only 7mm

The 2-day total of 652mm at Ivory Glacier in Westland was impressive, but miles short of Cropp's 1049mm record (that's for any 48-hour period)
