My preferences for Spring vary depending on the winter. If we get a cold and snowy winter then I like a warm and sunny Spring, if it's a mild winter I like a cold and snowy Spring. This year winter was quite mild and almost snowless, therefore I want snow and cold in Spring!

Dew points imo are significantly lower in summer. 6 to 7F lower dewpoints is a lot in summer.

I thought the official averages from EC had the average dewpoints for Toronto but they do not. My bad

I got the ASOS hourly data and calculated it myself. I did NYC and Philly too, for comparison. Since I couldn't find a good source for Canadian ASOS data, I used Niagara Falls. I estimate that it would be roughly equal to the lakeside readings in Toronto, which averages around 1C higher than more inland stations.

Average DP for July & August 1981-2010

Niagara Falls Int'l 15.9C
NYC LaGuardia 17.3C
Philadelphia Int'l 18.2C

So yeah, your source seems to be accurate.

I hate to even think about spring with longer days and more sun and less rain. May is coming soon enough and then we will lock into 90's until Dec.

The way our pattern has been setting up in the plains, we'll have first winter, second winter and third winter, with two days of spring in between each.

I'm more concerned about our flood risk given the amount of moisture that's been in the area during the winter so far.

Euro suggests at or above normal spring this year. Somehow I doubt it

Bastardi thinks pattern will flip on like a switch into spring by late March

I like Spring to be warm and sunny with around 1 day of heavy rain every 10 days.
