Chicago is on a coast. It's basically a inland see our Great Lakes. They do take on a look of a sea and do moderate temperatures to bring more precipitation to especially their Eastern side.

Chicago definately has Lake Michigan cool inland areas in summer and bit warmer in winter.... especially areas near the lake as downtown Chicago is along the lake. It clearly takes on the look of a coastal city with beaches and harbors.

Temperatures many times by 10° Between O'Hare airport
and Downtown Chicago.... because of the lake.

I would think Chicago, especially at O'Hare or points further west of 290/53, and Roselle Rd.

This is a good thread because in terms of 100 degree temps I see a really close call between the two (I voted Chicago but it was a tough call).
