Here are some more weather summaries for places I have visited in 2018. Chivenor was drier than Ibiza, and Birmingham Airport had a mean of 20.1C in July

Toronto Pearson 2018

January
Max: 12.6C
Hi: -1.3C
Lo: -10.0C
Min: -23.5C
Rain: 41.0 mm
Snow: 21.4 cm
Total Precip: 61.8 mm

July
Max: 34.3C
Hi: 28.7C
Lo: 18.1C
Min: 13.4C
Rain: 64.0 mm

Extreme maximum: 35.4C (June 30)
Extreme minimum: -23.5C (Jan 6)

Average high in April: 8C
Average high in May: 23C

Driest month was March w/ 32.6 mm

I might do a full weather box later if no one else does it first.

Overall it was a pretty good year, winter was classically cold and snowy, summer was warm/hot (depending on your definition) and humid. It was also wetter and cloudier than normal. EC does not record sunshine hours anymore so you'll have to take my word for it. August was the epitome of a warm and humid month with an average high of 27.8C, an average low of 18.6C, and 118.2 mm of rain. It had a higher average low than July and lots of humidity, so it felt as warm as July. In fact, per WxU, the average DP in August was on par with NYC and Chicago!

2018 was a very wet year for both Oklahoma City and Raleigh; 'twas the 7th wettest and 4th wettest, respectively. Raleigh got over 60" (150 cm) of rain for the first time since 1936! It was the 50th coldest year on record (out of 128) in OKC and the 25th warmest (out of 132) in Raleigh. There was a tornado in the NE part of Norman, OK in early May, and Norman had multiple strong thunderstorms later into the summer. The Raleigh area was impacted by both Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael. Oklahoma City had its 9th least-snowy year on record, while Raleigh had its 12th snowiest year on record. OKC had its 19th warmest temperature ever, while Raleigh had its coldest night since 2000. Raleigh also had its first week below freezing since 1917, and its first September never going below 60. Each of the last six months in OKC was below normal, and they had their second coldest April on record. However, they also had their second warmest May on record. Raleigh had its third warmest February, warmest May, and 4th warmest September on record. Raleigh's November and December were also in the top-10 wettest. OKC had its second wettest August, 7th wettest September, and 5th wettest December. Both places had a shorten'd spring, and somewhat of a shorten'd fall, which was unfortunate.

Over all it was not a bad year....I liked the 5 month long summer...
longer than usual because average high in may was over 23C and september average high
around 25C....early october was very warm too but then it turned quickly to almost never
ending below normal and gloom ...october ended uo being a bit cooler than normal and a very
crappy november....well below normal ....however december ended up being slightly above normal.

April was the worst ever with a well below normal 8C average high...
thats why it was surprising that may was nice summer-like.

We didnt have an ultra warm/mild 2018 like parts of europe had ..thats for sure,
with horrible months...april and november ...but may, june, july, august, september
made up for it.
