How would you rate the weather in Bidford in 2018? I give it an E, too dull in winter. This is despite a sunnier, drier and warmer year than usual. Sunshine is unavailable for December, so the year is close to 1700 hours.

Other stats for the year:

Air frosts 45 (-2.7)
Highest wind gust 87 mph on 19th July
Rain days above 0.1 mm 154
Rain days above 9.9 mm 12
Days max above 19.9C 120
Max daily rainfall: 18.3 mm on 7th November
Days max below 0.1C 3
Thunderstorm days 1
Hail days 1

Sheffield 2018 Summary

A cold late winter, dull early spring followed by a very warm, sunny late spring and early summer. Autumn was rather stormy and unsettled. I rate the year an E+/D-.

Wow, that July is impressively warm and sunny for the UK!

May and June are very sunny too.

I'll give this year a C.

Seems better than average although I could say that for basically every recent year. Summer seems to have warmed more than winter in recent years. This winter (2018-2019) should be relatively mild.

Record sunny year and one one the driest ones . Very nice spring and summer, almost completely snowless previous winter and now the most depressing December I remember, ie. dark low level clouds, no sun at all, no snow at all this season, with frost sticking permanently on the eastern part of PL.

Those Eastern Asia winter sunshine hours always amazes me.

Can't wait for sping.

A few places in Norway in 2018

-Very cold March
-Record warm May, new national all-time high S of Bergen with 32.7C at Etne
-Very warm July, especially in south, new all-time highs many places incl Stavanger and Trondheim AP, up to 33.7C north of the Arctic Circle
-May-July record warm and dry in south, crop failures due to drought
-Wet Aug-Sep
-New all-time high some places in Oct incl Trondheim

Weather patterns seemed to get stuck in 2018, lasting very long. Sunniest year in Oslo.

Up in far northern Norway, Troms in the Arctic Circle had a variable year, from a record dull and wet June with 58 sunhrs despite midnigh sun to a warm July with 272 sunhrs. Annually 1244 sunhrs in Troms. Nov was second warmest recorded. Bardufoss in Troms set new all-time high for Troms with 33.5C in July.

High Arctic: Svalbard airport had mean -5.8C in Dec, 7.6C above normal (61-90). More than 90 consecutive months warmer than normal.

2nd warmest year on record in Buenos Aires (centre).

Mean: 18.6C (+0.7C)
Abs low: 1.1C
Abs high: 36.7C
Avg H: 70.8% (from 22% to 100%)

We had 4 month below average, but some above avorage were absurdly warm (particularly April and September). The year was very humid too, over 1400mm.

I didn't realize the lowest temperature for the whole year was only -4C. And this December only had one below freezing temperature.
