February 2019 in Edmonton will go down as somewhere between 2nd coldest and 5th coldest February since records began depending upon which weather station is used. Regardless, it seems to have been the coldest February since 1979. Here are the stats from the airport site.

Average low: -28.8C
Mean temperature: -22.5C

Highest high: -2.9C (27th)

14 days with a minimum below -30C
7 days with a minimum below -35C
1 day with a minimum below -40C

A somewhat disappointing month. Warmer than normal (lows more above normal than the highs). Only one day with a freezing low... Seemed fairly damp and cloudy though total rainfall was below normal; had more precip days than typical. Not really any noteworthy storms. Did have a few ice pellets.

Lowest max: 43F
Highest min: 68F

Highest dewpoint: 70F
Average dewpoint: 49F
Lowest dewpoint: 22F

Days with thunder: 4

February this month was 6.7F (3.7C) below average. It was the 2nd snowiest February ever recorded and the 5th coldest February ever recorded. Only 2 days were above average and 1 day was exactly average. February 4 was the first daily high temperature at or below freezing for nearly five years.

This February was a February that will never be forgotten. Nearly every day was below average and there was a huge snowstorm that shut down the city for a week. Cold airmasses followed after the snowstorm and led to a predominately cold month.

A way better month. A lot more snow, less extremes in both warm and cold weather. Stood the entire month at freezing temperatures. Due to the fact that my city is missing temperature data from NOAA, I decided to take temperatures from a location 46 miles south of me. It is a bit warmer, but it doesn't make too much of a difference I think.

Snowiest February on record (39 inches) and 4th snowiest month on record. Crazy how many records have been broken since I moved here. This is the 2nd time we've had a record breaking month for snowfall since I've lived here. Other one was April 2018.

Feb was the 2 nd hottest ever. But still nothing like the hottest Feb ever we had in 2018. Had 1.70" of rain vs 1" last Feb.

Still be low normal on rain for the month. Seems like the last 7 years have seen the hottest months.

Wikipedia says average high in Edmonton in February is 27.1F. So the average highs were like 24F below average??
