Phoenix sits at a lower elevation, Vegas sits at a higher elevation. Both cities are very hot in the summer but in your opinion which one is worse?

They aren't much different temp wise in July, but dewpoints on average are about 10F lower in Las Vegas, so I would say we are worse

Phoenix is much less comfortable in the summer due to the higher moisture. The temperature is similar but the humidity is a good bit higher in Phoenix.

Might also note that Dallas often is less comfortable than either Phoenix or Las Vegas in the high heat due to the moisture.

Phoenix is also nicer in the winter because of the higher temperatures.

Phoenix is a bit hotter, and more humid as well. So I am going with Phoenix.

Every metric for Phoenix (avg high, mean, avg low, avg max temp, avg min temp, etc) is higher than Vegas by a few degrees so why wouldn't Phoenix be worse? Not even a comparison in May and September - Phoenix has slightly longer summers

Agree. Phoenix is a bit worse in summer but a lot better in winter.

Las Vegas has better summers than Phoenix due to lower dewpoints.
