Haven't had snow up here for about two weeks. The snow on our lawn was almost gone except where the snowbanks were from shoveling and plowing.
Yesterday, the wind picked up and by evening proceeded into strong gusts accompanied by snow. We have about 1/2 inch on the ground and it's going to be a cold day today (April 27th).
It's almost May, so much to do outside. I'm trying to enjoy this rare sunny day here with temps in the 50s but the 2 systems producing snow keeps me coming back inside to check map.

Binghamton & Syracuse getting snow falling now. As well as northern Iowa and Southern MN.
I might be on the rain side of the storm, but MDW and especially ORD might see as much as 6 inches which would be historic for this late in the season.

7:15-11:15CST loop. Raining in Chicago but note the changeover happening now, during the day! The column is cooling! It's below freezing at 5000' so its snowing aloft and cooling the atmosphere. Chicago is next
I see 1-3" fell in Eastern South Dakota. Clouds just moved into Central Indiana
