I'm hopeful that Barry brings some rain our way! It was a very wet spring but we've had very little rain in the last couple weeks and could really use it. Model tracks at the moment seem to be bringing it across central Indiana. But it still means no rain until Tuesday/Wednesday. And it's so disorganized I have no idea how much moisture it will actually bring with it.

I hope the 2 week forecast verifies

Our forecast continues to show day after day with high temps 90 to 94F. However, our avg high is like 87F at this point, so it like 5F above avg.

Europe on the other hand had temps that were way higher than average so the warmth in the US is not comparable to Europe in terms of deviation from average.

Next week's forecast here is going to be hot. Cambium is going to be in hibernation mode. No need to worry about accidents and oversized trucks on the Merritt Parkway.

Yes, the deviations aren't as great this summer. One big factor is that there is no dryness here to pump temperatures up with all the wet soils in the central US. But did you also look at those deviations in eastern Europe? From a few days ago? Very cool conditions with deviations of -12C or lower

The first decade of July was abnormally cold here, daily mean kinda 3.5-4 c below average. And gloomy, cloudy and rainy.

On 9th my nearest station saw this summer’s heaviest rain that brought 28.0mm which is more than 1/3 of the monthly norm of precipitation.

The humidity is lower today than it’s been for weeks in Fort Worth Texas. High temperatures are forecast to be in the lower 90’s today and tomorrow, then the heat and humidity shoot back up starting Sunday. No rain is in the forecast for at least the next few days.

At 2:30pm, we are sitting at 81f with a dew point of 62, humidity 52%. It actually feels very nice out and there is a cool feeling breeze coming up the mountain. I mowed the hillside earlier and didn't break a sweat.

High today is 82, low 65
